SARA Manual Changes - 19.2 June 2019
A new revised version of the SARA Manual, Version 19.2 was released in early June. This updated version contains changes made by the NC-SARA Board at its May 8-9, 2019 meeting and includes a variety of changes/clarifications that include, but are not limited to: the promotion of numerous, pre-existing “explanatory notes” to policy language; further clarifies that institutions participating in SARA must be located in a SARA member state, and adds a new process provision for seeking changes to NC-SARA policies.
For this webcast, the focus will be on:
- Definitions for branch campus, main campus and central administrative unit.
- The circumstances under which SARA member states may approve an institution to participate in SARA on provisional status
- The addition of an explanatory note regarding NC-SARA’s short course provisions.
- The new requirements for SARA states to develop an appeals process for institutional participation in SARA.
The presentation will review the new SARA Manual 19.2 as they pertain to the changes/modifications/clarifications mentioned above, leaving ample time for questions and discussion.
